Volli Ilves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Volli Ilves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaur Noobel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrik Pahasoo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Volli Ilves 17 minutes into the match. Aivar Lest hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the game's 24th minute Martsa's Ander Paber took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Roland Täll and thus the score was 1-1. Roland Täll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert Luht in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Martsa's Volli Ilves got control of the ball when Uku Uibo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Kaur Noobel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Martsa's Volli Ilves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enar Arulepp's late challenge caught a FC Ahja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enar Arulepp helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Enar Arulepp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Kaur Noobel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Volli Ilves was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Roland Täll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Luht, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Uku Uibo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Volli Ilves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ahja. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Luht in the 41st minute of play forced FC Ahja's goalkeeper Roland Täll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Volli Ilves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaur Noobel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaur Noobel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, FC Ahja's Uku Uibo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Volli Ilves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, FC Ahja's Henrik Pahasoo got a free kick in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Martsa's goal looked a bit too open when Kusti Toom came free, but Volli Ilves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Martsa getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Tauri Viigipuu hit a great ball. Uku Uibo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volli Ilves having to interfere. Kaur Noobel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uku Uibo in the 77th minute of play forced Martsa's goalkeeper Volli Ilves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Kaur Noobel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ahja's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaur Noobel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Volli Ilves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Ahja had won after a very even match.
