Jüri Kupits fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andri Aavakivi having to interfere. Andri Aavakivi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Vihmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Erki Marja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viru Wõitlejad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Libatse the free kick. In the 7th minute, Erki Marja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaspar Vesi during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Riho Paat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kuldar Lemming, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lennart Kaljundi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Kuldar Lemming got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lennart Kaljundi struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Riho Paat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viru Wõitlejad. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Lennart Kaljundi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viru Wõitlejad's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart Kaljundi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Riho Paat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kuldar Lemming stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Kaspar Vesi had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Elmu Aluste fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viru Wõitlejad's protests and gave Elmu Aluste a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th match minute, Viru Wõitlejad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmu Aluste to maneuver through the defense. Libatse's Jüri Kupits got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivar Ülevain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Andri Aavakivi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enno Kruus's late challenge caught a Viru Wõitlejad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enno Kruus helped the player get up and apologised. Enno Kruus hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 64 minutes of play, Viru Wõitlejad's Kuldar Lemming made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Riho Paat was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the match, Viru Wõitlejad's Kuldar Lemming sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Riho Paat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andri Aavakivi made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Jüri Kupits sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Libatse booed when Viru Wõitlejad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erki Marja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Libatse were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Viru Wõitlejad's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maarek Vaha took the corner. Libatse's Maarek Vaha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andri Aavakivi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 83rd minute Lennart Kaljundi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riho Paat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lennart Kaljundi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Riho Paat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennart Kaljundi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Riho Paat having to interfere. Viru Wõitlejad were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Libatse for a fine match.
