Gert Jusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Elementary getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jann Paha hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Arno Pabin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arno Pabin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lembit Rohumaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gert Jusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Selja booed when Elementary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timo Mäe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pearu Mineja's late challenge caught a Elementary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pearu Mineja helped the player get up and apologised. Pearu Mineja kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Märten Kütt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lembit Rohumaa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes, Elementary's Jann Paha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lembit Rohumaa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Elementary reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aimar Kannisto during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Arno Pabin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alo Karikas made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Alo Karikas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alo Karikas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Timo Mäe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Alo Karikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neeme Tihkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neeme Tihkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alo Karikas in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Elementary's goalkeeper Neeme Tihkan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Jusson. Jann Paha hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 84 played minutes Selja got a freekick which was hit by Pearu Mineja. Arno Pabin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Selja were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
