Selja's Lembit Rohumaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Kaljundi in the 8th minute of play. Erki Marja hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The supporters of Selja booed when Viru Wõitlejad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken Luht didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Gert Jusson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Jusson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alo Karikas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Andri Aavakivi managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Selja's Gert Jusson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Andri Aavakivi made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Gert Jusson sent off a good shot on target. Lennart Kaljundi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Lembit Rohumaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alo Karikas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute.
