SC Veretina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Märt Laaser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, JK Kõduküla's Aimar Hellenurm got a free kick in the 30th minute. Vallo Honga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alo Nugis's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. If Aimar Hellenurm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valdek Loide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Kampus having to interfere. Rainer Kampus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdek Loide in the 42nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Märt Laaser managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Veretina's supporters rose to their feet, but Märt Laaser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vallo Honga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alo Nugis was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of SC Veretina booed when JK Kõduküla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalju Kender didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aimar Hellenurm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aimar Hellenurm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 68 in the game by Märt Laaser from a close distance when the talented Vallo Honga managed to make a qualified save. JK Kõduküla's players were relieved. Rainer Kampus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JK Kõduküla. Vallo Honga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aivar Kaalep, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to JK Kõduküla getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Roland Veiler hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the game, Valdek Loide was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JK Kõduküla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Veretina the free kick. A collision led to JK Kõduküla getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Valdek Loide hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Aimar Hellenurm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rainer Kampus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
