Andreas Tälli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aron Kurg. FC OTEPÄÄ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 8th minute Andres Aruväli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Kurg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sander Jakobson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Andrus Undusk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Aron Kurg made a huge save. A collision led to JK Põltsamaa Sport getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Andrus Undusk hit a great ball. If Kajar Eomäe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ergo Elu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalju Rehepap having to interfere. When Andrus Undusk came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the JK Põltsamaa Sport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrus Undusk couldn't finish the play. JK Põltsamaa Sport were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after FC OTEPÄÄ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andreas Tälli took the corner. The corner ended in Andreas Tälli almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC OTEPÄÄ's Aron Kurg did a great save. With his leg Aron Kurg managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when JK Põltsamaa Sport's Andrus Undusk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ergo Elu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kalju Rehepap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vaino Raidmets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Aron Kurg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Aruväli in the 52nd minute of play. Ergo Elu took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kalju Rehepap. Kalju Rehepap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Andrus Undusk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th play minute Ergo Elu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kalju Rehepap. 0-2. Kajar Eomäe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kalju Rehepap came out and tried to block the shot, but Kajar Eomäe slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 72nd minute. Ergo Elu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ergo Elu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Andres Aruväli came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the JK Põltsamaa Sport fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Aruväli couldn't finish the play. Kajar Eomäe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Alo Teras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JK Põltsamaa Sport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC OTEPÄÄ the free kick. In the 89th match minute, JK Põltsamaa Sport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alo Teras to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute of the match FC OTEPÄÄ got a corner. JK Põltsamaa Sport's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kristo Lints ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Kristo Lints got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kalju Rehepap quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 93rd minute Andrus Undusk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Kurg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The JK Põltsamaa Sport supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC OTEPÄÄ's performance. The match ended with a win for FC OTEPÄÄ.
