In the 8th minute, Rudolf Teinemaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rudolf Teinemaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Kalju Rehepap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to JK Põltsamaa Sport getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Kuido Esko hit a great ball. When Rudolf Teinemaa came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Lepplaane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudolf Teinemaa couldn't finish the play. In the 14th match minute, Lepplaane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aabel Hindremäe to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Rudolf Teinemaa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalju Rehepap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lepplaane's zone, Andrus Undusk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalmer Lehtpuu came out of the goal and Andrus Undusk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Andrus Undusk could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Kalmer Lehtpuu however easily saved by the left post. 29 minutes into the game, Jass Valgupera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lepplaane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JK Põltsamaa Sport the free kick. Kalmer Lehtpuu had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Andreas Tälli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 36th match minute, JK Põltsamaa Sport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maido Vahtra to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Lepplaane's Arto Külaase sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kalju Rehepap narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kalju Rehepap stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudolf Teinemaa's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Andrus Undusk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Kalmer Lehtpuu made a huge save. Arto Külaase recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Arto Külaase made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Andres Aruväli made a precise shot to the right of Kalmer Lehtpuu. Lepplaane's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 59 minutes into the game, Arto Külaase recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kalju Rehepap. Arto Külaase showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Kalju Rehepap made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by JK Põltsamaa Sport's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ailar Vikat was slow to take the kick. During this time Lepplaane's players had a chance to rest. After 99 minutes, Eimar Murelik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JK Põltsamaa Sport and the Lepplaane players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 99 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for JK Põltsamaa Sport! The goalkeeper, Kalju Rehepap, was totally fooled by Lepplaane's Ailar Vikat, who 101 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
