Andrus Undusk hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Andres Aruväli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eino Kajastu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tom Rakke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Kalju Rehepap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the JK Põltsamaa Sport defense, Edvin Oinak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kalju Rehepap. The JK Põltsamaa Sport fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kalju Rehepap should have stopped the shot. If Tom Rakke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in JK Põltsamaa Sport's zone, Tom Rakke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalju Rehepap came out of the goal and Tom Rakke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Tom Rakke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalju Rehepap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kuido Pärtel's late challenge caught a JK Põltsamaa Sport's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kuido Pärtel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to fc Kauksi getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Argo Vahher hit a great ball. Andres Aruväli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eino Kajastu having to interfere. Andrus Undusk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Eino Kajastu made a huge save. Tom Rakke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalju Rehepap having to interfere. In the 41stth minute of the game Edvin Oinak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JK Põltsamaa Sport's Kalju Rehepap was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edvin Oinak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kalju Rehepap read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Aruväli to make the kick off. Jörgen Reismaa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kalju Rehepap. JK Põltsamaa Sport's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 55 played minutes JK Põltsamaa Sport got a freekick which was hit by Maido Vahtra. Tom Rakke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Kalju Rehepap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Edvin Oinak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc Kauksi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvin Oinak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edvin Oinak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalju Rehepap having to interfere. Tom Rakke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. JK Põltsamaa Sport's Andres Aruväli got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Edvin Oinak dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kalju Rehepap, 1-2. Kalju Rehepap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvin Oinak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eino Kajastu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrus Undusk went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
