Ergo Elu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalmer Loik having to interfere. When Sokyula's Tom Kingisepp in 7 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Aron Kurg guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The crowd rose to their feet as Tom Kingisepp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aron Kurg. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Aron Kurg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Kingisepp in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match, Eduard Nõmmsalu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aron Kurg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aron Kurg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduard Nõmmsalu went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Sokyula's Tom Kingisepp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aron Kurg. That made the score 3-0 after 24 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ergo Elu in the 31st minute of play forced Sokyula's goalkeeper Kalmer Loik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 minutes, Kaimo Aguraiuja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC OTEPÄÄ and the Sokyula players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kaimo Aguraiuja hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. FC OTEPÄÄ's Aron Kurg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Kingisepp in the 35th minute of play. Eduard Nõmmsalu took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aron Kurg. Aron Kurg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Aron Kurg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduard Nõmmsalu in the 43rd minute. Tom Kingisepp struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Aron Kurg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sokyula. The supporters of FC OTEPÄÄ booed when Sokyula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henri Ülem didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kajar Eomäe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kalmer Loik made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Ergo Elu sent off a good shot on target. Eduard Nõmmsalu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kajar Eomäe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Kalmer Loik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Kingisepp in the 69th minute of play forced FC OTEPÄÄ's goalkeeper Aron Kurg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Ergo Elu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC OTEPÄÄ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ergo Elu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Tom Kingisepp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arne Oper hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Eduard Nõmmsalu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
