One of Agusalu FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of JK Põltsamaa Sport:s goal. The goalkeeper, Helger Kapten, was totally fooled by JK Põltsamaa Sport's Andreas Tälli, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 26th minute, Andres Aruväli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. JK Põltsamaa Sport's Andres Aruväli got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31stth minute of the game Mattias Võsandi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JK Põltsamaa Sport's Kalju Rehepap was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rein Toompere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Mattias Võsandi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agusalu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattias Võsandi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
