Raimond Peelmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robi Valmas having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Gomab's Jürgen Noorsaar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduard Hõbe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Michel Van Herendael came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Udrike JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Van Herendael couldn't finish the play. Eduard Hõbe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of August Koba's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Jürgen Noorsaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eduard Hõbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Udrike JK got a freekick which was hit by Marti Ludri. Jürgen Noorsaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Hõbe having to interfere. August Koba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gomab's Per-Erik Billvall got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jürgen Noorsaar to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Gomab's Jürgen Noorsaar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
