SK Sakha's Oodo Kalm started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, FC Sakala's Ago Nõmmeots sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrus Aasamaa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 3rd match minute, SK Sakha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janno Otsatalu to maneuver through the defense. Anton Räni's late challenge caught a FC Sakala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Räni helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Sakala booed when SK Sakha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Räni didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 9th minute of the match Anton Räni completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anton Räni a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 10th minute, Anton Räni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ago Nõmmeots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Andres Arro fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Sakala's protests and gave Andres Arro a yellow card for diving instead. Rauno Hütt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Andrus Aasamaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, FC Sakala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arni Ummelas to maneuver through the defense. Ernst Vulla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Kaarel Sulg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Sakala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaarel Sulg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rauno Hütt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SK Sakha getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ernst Vulla hit a great ball. When FC Sakala's Adolf Üits in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SK Sakha's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of FC Sakala booed when SK Sakha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Ranna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolf Üits sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Juss Joamets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrus Aasamaa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ago Nõmmeots fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrus Aasamaa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rauno Hütt in the 41st minute of play forced SK Sakha's goalkeeper Andrus Aasamaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Oodo Kalm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Janno Otsatalu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Sakha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Janno Otsatalu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Joonatan Joller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Sakha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Sakala the free kick. Joonatan Joller hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Adolf Üits made the kick off in the second half. Joonatan Joller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Sakala's Juss Joamets got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolf Üits in the 56th minute of play forced SK Sakha's goalkeeper Andrus Aasamaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrus Aasamaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rauno Hütt, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ainar Talviste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oodo Kalm, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Rauno Hütt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrus Aasamaa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolf Üits's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Andrus Aasamaa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Adolf Üits fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrus Aasamaa having to interfere. Andrus Aasamaa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolf Üits, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rauno Hütt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SK Sakha's Ainar Uss got a free kick in the 85th minute. Juss Joamets struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Andrus Aasamaa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Sakala. Adolf Üits recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Janno Otsatalu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC Sakala booed when SK Sakha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kuno Vonk didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolf Üits in the 93rd minute of play forced SK Sakha's goalkeeper Andrus Aasamaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded FC Sakala left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SK Sakha.
