With a little luck, Holsten's Mehdi De Carvalho got control of the ball when Hendrik Rajamäe tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Hendrik Rajamäe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mehdi De Carvalho. Hendrik Rajamäe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eerik Rannik in the 14th minute of play forced Holsten's goalkeeper Mehdi De Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Dag Hedin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holsten's supporters rose to their feet, but Dag Hedin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tavo Lehtmäe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the game, Holsten's Turan Cansever nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After a defensive mix-up in FC MatriX's zone, Adam Zbagan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tavo Lehtmäe came out of the goal and Adam Zbagan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Adam Zbagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tavo Lehtmäe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalle Kaldur came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mehdi De Carvalho could save by the left post. Tavo Lehtmäe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Hedin in the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Holsten's goal looked a bit too open when Reino Nöps came free, but Mehdi De Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dag Hedin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Reino Nöps made the kick off in the second half. Adam Zbagan in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tavo Lehtmäe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ervin Aher hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Mehdi De Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervin Aher in the 59th minute of play.
