The supporters of Holsten booed when Drunken Sea Monkeys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peep Normann didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Zbagan got free with Joonas Järve in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peep Normann hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Taaniel Kloren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehdi De Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viljar Niidumaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meelis Toots's late challenge caught a Holsten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joonas Järve stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Zbagan's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. When Adam Zbagan came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Holsten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Zbagan couldn't finish the play. Uku Virmaline sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mehdi De Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peep Normann in the 42nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Adam Zbagan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holsten's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Zbagan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joonas Järve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After a rather tough play, Holsten's Mihkel Makélélé got a free kick in the 60th minute.
