The audience was convinced that Jann Annast's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tavo Lehtmäe was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Tavo Lehtmäe came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kerguta JK's Elmar Käps. But to his dismay, Elmar Käps quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Tavo Lehtmäe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jann Annast's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. FC MatriX's Tavo Lehtmäe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmar Käps in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Elmar Käps ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tavo Lehtmäe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. When Eerik Rannik fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC MatriX's protests and gave Eerik Rannik a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kerguta JK booed when FC MatriX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eerik Rannik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

54 minutes into the game, Kerguta JK's Jann Annast nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tavo Lehtmäe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. After 61 played minutes FC MatriX got a freekick which was hit by Virgo Kosk. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of FC MatriX:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kerguta JK:s goal. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Kerguta JK. Elmar Käps stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tavo Lehtmäe. 1-6. After a rather tough play, FC MatriX's Kalle Kaldur got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 77 played minutes FC MatriX got a freekick which was hit by Ervin Aher. If Elmar Käps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC MatriX booed when Kerguta JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Chițu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90thth minute of the game Jann Annast who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC MatriX's Tavo Lehtmäe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Elmar Käps came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Kerguta JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elmar Käps couldn't finish the play. Jairo Elixio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ervin Aher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC MatriX booed when Kerguta JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Chițu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elmar Käps fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tavo Lehtmäe having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC MatriX's Kalle Kaldur got a free kick in the 98th minute.
