Uno Karind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reino Nöps, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When Prezevalski's Toivo Kampus in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Uno Karind was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ahto Arus might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tavo Lehtmäe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahto Arus ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Prezevalski's goalkeeper Uno Karind, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC MatriX's zone, Ahto Arus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tavo Lehtmäe came out of the goal and Ahto Arus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reino Nöps stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ervin Ahers short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Uno Karind to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Uno Karind took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reino Nöps, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ervin Aher got free with Uno Karind in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reino Nöps in the 59th minute of play forced Prezevalski's goalkeeper Uno Karind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
