Marko Lehtmets came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by Valga 1860's Rein Tamberg. But to his dismay, Rein Tamberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Rait Aruniit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valga 1860's Urmo Tali proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Valga 1860 from getting a goal against them. Andri Maa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urmo Tali having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rein Tamberg in the 18th minute of play forced FC Mustamäe's goalkeeper Marko Lehtmets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, FC Mustamäe's goal looked a bit too open when Rein Tamberg came free, but Marko Lehtmets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25thth minute of the game Endel Vanamets who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Mustamäe's Marko Lehtmets was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Endel Vanamets put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Marko Lehtmets. Marko Lehtmets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rein Tamberg in the 38th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Rein Tamberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marko Lehtmets. FC Mustamäe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rein Tamberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 41 played minutes FC Mustamäe got a freekick which was hit by Kaljo Leesment. Auguste Dias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Urmo Tali skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Auguste Dias made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Algaja in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urmo Tali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 55 minutes into the match, FC Mustamäe's goal looked a bit too open when Rein Tamberg came free, but Marko Lehtmets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Mustamäe's Voldemar Sõnajalg got a free kick in the 60th minute. Urmo Tali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Auguste Dias in the 61st minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match, Endel Vanamets got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marko Lehtmets was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Joel Algaja's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urmo Tali was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 85 minutes into the game, Rein Tamberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marko Lehtmets. Rein Tamberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 91st minute of the match Valga 1860 got a corner. FC Mustamäe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alvar Muruaas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alvar Muruaas made a great header on Valga 1860's corner, it was just that FC Mustamäe's Marko Lehtmets managed to reach the ball for a save. After 93 minutes FC Mustamäe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvar Muruaas who took care of the corner kick. Valga 1860's Alvar Muruaas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marko Lehtmets in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 96 minutes into the match, Valga 1860's goal looked a bit too open when Auguste Dias came free, but Urmo Tali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Valga 1860 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Mustamäe throughout the match.
