In the 5th minute of the match Maximum Power got a corner. viljandi Minevik's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oodo Oksa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Maximum Power's Kuuno Mari was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aare Järve in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, viljandi Minevik's Alari Lapp got a free kick in the 7th minute. Aare Järve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuuno Mari in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Priidu Raasuke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. viljandi Minevik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maximum Power the free kick. Aare Järve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stathis Koulouris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Tom Võsandi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aare Järve was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 28 minutes into the match, viljandi Minevik's goal looked a bit too open when Stathis Koulouris came free, but Aare Järve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ain Pihl kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Stathis Koulouris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stathis Koulouris in the 40th minute of play forced viljandi Minevik's goalkeeper Aare Järve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Argo Kargu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes, viljandi Minevik's Ants Oksa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiit Jaas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in viljandi Minevik reached it. Villu Levisto lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Maximum Power a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oodo Oksa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of viljandi Minevik's Aare Järve. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ain Valing made a kick off. viljandi Minevik's Aare Järve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalle Künnapuu in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes viljandi Minevik's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oodo Oksa who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Oodo Oksa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but viljandi Minevik's Aare Järve did a great save. 61 minutes into the match, viljandi Minevik's goal looked a bit too open when Kuuno Mari came free, but Aare Järve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, viljandi Minevik's goalkeeper Aare Järve had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Võsandi. Maximum Power's Tiit Jaas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alari Lapp in the 67th minute of play. With his leg Aare Järve managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Maximum Power's Kuuno Mari fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 72 minutes, Ain Pihl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the viljandi Minevik and the Maximum Power players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aare Järve made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Kaido Narusson sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute Kalle Künnapuu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aare Järve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Künnapuu in the 85th minute of play forced viljandi Minevik's goalkeeper Aare Järve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaido Narusson got free with Aare Järve in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 89 minutes, Stathis Koulouris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maximum Power's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stathis Koulouris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Maximum Power's Kalle Künnapuu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aare Järve. That made the score 0-3 after 98 minutes of play. Maximum Power's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
