FC Tsernobõl's Ali Mäkitalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hardo Kaar in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Tsernobõl's Geert Jol got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Hardo Kaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. Urmet Saue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Mäkitalo having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Aidu Metskonna Pöörased got a freekick which was hit by Kuno Karmo. Gustav Kingisepp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dušan Kinder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Aidu Metskonna Pöörased getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Volli Vilo hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elmo Lodev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes FC Tsernobõl got a freekick which was hit by Kalmer Niidu. Ali Mäkitalo made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Elmo Lodev sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the game, Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's Hardo Kaar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Mäkitalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hardo Kaar in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Mäkitalo saved FC Tsernobõl from getting behind. The supporters of FC Tsernobõl booed when Aidu Metskonna Pöörased was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bayındır Özkurt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hardo Kaar in the 68th minute of play forced FC Tsernobõl's goalkeeper Ali Mäkitalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hardo Kaar might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Mäkitalo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hardo Kaar ran back to his position shaking his head. 69 minutes into the match, FC Tsernobõl's goal looked a bit too open when Hardo Kaar came free, but Ali Mäkitalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Joost Flocquier in the 71st minute of play forced Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's goalkeeper Dušan Kinder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Geert Jol in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's Siim Vetik. 80 minutes into the match, Jan-Joost Flocquier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dušan Kinder. Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Joost Flocquier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Elmo Lodev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Ali Mäkitalo made a huge save. Ali Mäkitalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hardo Kaar in the 91st minute of play. After 95 minutes of play, Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's Hardo Kaar made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ali Mäkitalo was left in no man's land by his defense there!
