With a little luck, Efstathiou FC's Aktaion Sakellariou got control of the ball when Thanasis Andreoulakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lakis Angelopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerkyon Tsimicalis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ganaíika's Lakis Angelopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Štěpán in the 38th minute of play. Lakis Angelopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerkyon Tsimicalis in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Josef Štěpán got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iakobos Talitsikas to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Efstathiou FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thanasis Andreoulakis came free, but Aktaion Sakellariou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ganaíika getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Alkestis Kanavos hit a great ball. When Zacharias Makrodimitris fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ganaíika's protests and gave Zacharias Makrodimitris a yellow card for diving instead. A murmur of surprise went through the audience when Efstathiou FC's Danaos Varvitsiotes after having done a couple of nice dribblings in the 82nd minute of the game fired away a shot to his disappointment passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Josef Štěpán managed to get in a good position for a shot. Efstathiou FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Štěpán was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lakis Angelopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Iakobos Talitsikas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aktaion Sakellariou was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Josef Štěpán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
