Spiros Alatza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epeios Pagonis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tantalos Comino in the 11th minute of play forced Adhámas FC's goalkeeper Dimos Catranides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Panathinaikos fc booed when Adhámas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spiros Alatza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Alexandros Farmakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panathinaikos fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Adhámas FC the free kick. In the 31st minute, one of Panathinaikos fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panathinaikos fc. After 35 played minutes Adhámas FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Rigopoulos. Giorgos Petridis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epeios Pagonis having to interfere. Panathinaikos fc's Seleykos Spelas got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giorgos Petridis to strike the kick off in the second half. Stavros Haritopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tantalos Comino struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Dimos Catranides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panathinaikos fc. 68 minutes into the match, Panathinaikos fc's goalkeeper Epeios Pagonis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prokris Eliopoulos. Dimos Catranides breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Prokris Eliopoulos in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
