Alkestis Argitakos made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Eumaios Felecos sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in OMONOIA NICOSIA FC's zone, Iphitos Logarakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alekos Liachames came out of the goal and Iphitos Logarakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. OMONOIA NICOSIA FC's Alekos Liachames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandros Evanggenelis in the 17th minute of play. Iason Bursinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alkestis Argitakos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, omonia FC's Glaukos Karabatsos got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Eumaios Felecos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alekos Liachames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iphitos Logarakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Iphitos Logarakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Makareus Kaloxylos charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Makareus Kaloxylos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Makareus Kaloxylos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandros Evanggenelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alekos Liachames having to interfere. Alkestis Argitakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iason Bursinos's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Iason Bursinos made the kick off in the second half. Alkestis Argitakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iason Bursinos's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Eumaios Felecos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alkestis Argitakos having to interfere. When Eumaios Felecos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the OMONOIA NICOSIA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eumaios Felecos couldn't finish the play. Alexandros Evanggenelis in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alekos Liachames, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the omonia FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for OMONOIA NICOSIA FC.
