Spectators: 7674 (Terracing: 5874, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Akis Dasios kicked off to start the match. Kelaino Karkampasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Akontios Vassilikos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akrisios Vlahos having to interfere. With a little luck, FC.PONTOS's Helios Antimisiaris got control of the ball when Alekos Petrakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Alekos Petrakis came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the APOEL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alekos Petrakis couldn't finish the play. Helios Antimisiaris made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Alekos Petrakis sent off a good shot on target. If Alekos Petrakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akis Dasios in the 30th minute of play forced FC.PONTOS's goalkeeper Helios Antimisiaris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC.PONTOS's zone, Alekos Petrakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helios Antimisiaris came out of the goal and Alekos Petrakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of APOEL FC booed when FC.PONTOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telis Patrianakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 40th minute when Alekos Petrakis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC.PONTOS's zone, Akis Dasios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helios Antimisiaris came out of the goal and Akis Dasios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akis Dasios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helios Antimisiaris having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kelaino Karkampasis made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Zinon Pappayiorgas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akis Dasios blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Helios Antimisiaris having to make a save. Kelaino Karkampasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akrisios Vlahos having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Kelaino Karkampasis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Akrisios Vlahos made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Akontios Vassilikos sent off a good shot on target. If Akis Dasios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alekos Petrakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helios Antimisiaris having to interfere. APOEL FC's Akrisios Vlahos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save APOEL FC from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Alekos Petrakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The APOEL FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A collision led to FC.PONTOS getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Zacharias Barraboutis hit a great ball. Kelaino Karkampasis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Akrisios Vlahos made a huge save. Kelaino Karkampasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Akrisios Vlahos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alekos Petrakis struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Helios Antimisiaris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for APOEL FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Akontios Vassilikos managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC.PONTOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Akontios Vassilikos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akrisios Vlahos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. APOEL FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
