If Grigoris Kalogeria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigoris Kalogeria struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Hector Vassilikos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Athletic Union Kiperounta. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Athletic Union Kiperounta! When Nessos Batsakis fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Omonoia's protests and gave Nessos Batsakis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Omonoia getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Nessos Batsakis hit a great ball. In the 32ndth minute of the game Learkhos Christakos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Omonoia's Hector Vassilikos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nessos Batsakis was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 34th match minute, Omonoia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nessos Batsakis to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Mederi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Learkhos Christakos in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Vassilikos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Mederi struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Hector Vassilikos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Athletic Union Kiperounta. Hector Vassilikos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigoris Kalogeria in the 46th minute of play. Learkhos Christakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hector Vassilikos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dimos Giannacopulos was the one to do the kick off. Maroš Tásler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelios Despines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Mederi in the 67th minute of play forced Omonoia's goalkeeper Hector Vassilikos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Vassilikos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grigoris Kalogeria in the 68th minute. In the 74th match minute, Omonoia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelios Despines to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Grigoris Kalogeria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Vassilikos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Omonoia's Hector Vassilikos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Omonoia from getting a goal against them. When Learkhos Christakos came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Athletic Union Kiperounta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Learkhos Christakos couldn't finish the play. Learkhos Christakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquin Mederi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hector Vassilikos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Joaquin Mederi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Omonoia's Hector Vassilikos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Omonoia from getting a goal against them. 97 minutes into the match, Grigoris Kalogeria notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Omonoia's Hector Vassilikos. Hector Vassilikos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
