ΑΠΕΠ ΠΙΤΣΙΛΙΑΣ's Iosif Moisakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epeios Solomos in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Aek athens's zone, Sofoklis Atsidakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sakis Kaladosis came out of the goal and Sofoklis Atsidakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Grigoris Laganas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakis Kaladosis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanasis Tselios in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Aek athens's zone, Arkas Kapsimalles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sakis Kaladosis came out of the goal and Arkas Kapsimalles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nestoras Fotinopoulos hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Ilmo Jussilainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Moisakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Ilmo Jussilainen notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of ΑΠΕΠ ΠΙΤΣΙΛΙΑΣ's Iosif Moisakos. Iosif Moisakos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The ΑΠΕΠ ΠΙΤΣΙΛΙΑΣ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aek athens were winning 1-4.

Sakis Kaladosis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sofoklis Atsidakos in the 53rd minute of the match. If Sofoklis Atsidakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sakis Kaladosis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkas Kapsimalles in the 60th minute of play. Iosif Moisakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simeon Akrivopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Epeios Solomos got free with Iosif Moisakos in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigoris Laganas in the 78th minute of play forced Aek athens's goalkeeper Sakis Kaladosis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Aek athens walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
