With a little luck, Mánthia's Koulis Mestas got control of the ball when Ladislao Harriet tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Empire of Soccer's zone, Anestis Katsambis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Guillelmus came out of the goal and Anestis Katsambis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Koulis Mestas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Harriet in the 9th minute of play. Koulis Mestas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Harriet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ladislao Harriet in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Koulis Mestas saved Mánthia from getting behind. Koulis Mestas made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ladislao Harriet sent off a good shot on target. Nestor Guillelmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iphitos Gravari, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernán Grana got free with Koulis Mestas in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute Xanthos Fikias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koulis Mestas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Guillelmus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Dicastillo in the 33rd minute of play. Koulis Mestas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Harriet in the 35th minute. Koulis Mestas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xanthos Fikias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Empire of Soccer getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jim Ahlroht hit a great ball. Empire of Soccer's Nestor Guillelmus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Dicastillo in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ladislao Harriet to strike the kick off in the second half. Empire of Soccer's Nestor Guillelmus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Katsambis in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute Ladislao Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koulis Mestas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Koulis Mestas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Harriet in the 58th minute of the match. Koulis Mestas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Mánthia's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Harriet came free, but Koulis Mestas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 minutes of play, Empire of Soccer's Ladislao Harriet made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Koulis Mestas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Harriet in the 91st minute of play forced Mánthia's goalkeeper Koulis Mestas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Koulis Mestas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Harriet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Empire of Soccer's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
