Delfino Suarez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dionisio Dicastillo in the 12th minute. In the 38th minute of the match, Iphitos Gravari got a very nice opportunity to score, but Delfino Suarez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 45 minutes into the game, Matias Araújo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Koulis Mestas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
