Svetapolk Garbuz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pilip Pasko in the 18th minute of play. Vladimir Rekun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yaroslav Ermakovich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Svetapolk Garbuz made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Brest's Marat Suprovich got a free kick in the 40th minute. Yaroslav Ermakovichs short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Svetapolk Garbuz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Yaroslav Ermakovich struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Svetapolk Garbuz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orsha. When Vladimir Rekun came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Brest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir Rekun couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Orsha's supporters rose to their feet, but Yaroslav Ermakovich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Svetapolk Garbuz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sergey Grabovsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Marat Ezhov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brest were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
