Sergey Nizovtsov came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arseny Kadumkevich could save by the left post. Tadeuz Kamenich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lubamir Papko, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute, Sergey Gavrilov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Boris Provodov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeuz Kamenich showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lubamir Papko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tadeuz Kamenich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Lubamir Papko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeuz Kamenich having to interfere. In the 35th minute Gleb Kanashkevich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeuz Kamenich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lubamir Papko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Sergey Nizovtsov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arseny Kadumkevich was relentless in the 66th minute of the game.
