Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Igor Tankovich started the match with the kick off. Stanislav Panfilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihas Lapshukov in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Vitebsk getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Nikanor Bagdanovich hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Kastus Bogdanov in the 10th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With a little luck, Vitebsk's Stanislav Panfilov got control of the ball when Kastus Bogdanov tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miron Dashko in the 17th minute of play forced Brest's goalkeeper Trafim Kavalionok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trafim Kavalionok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miron Dashko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brest's Georgij Talaiko got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of Vitebsk booed when Brest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georgij Talaiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitebsk's Igor Tankovich got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Igor Tankovich left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vitebsk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The supporters of Brest booed when Vitebsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonid Dudik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Mihas Lapshukov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stanislav Panfilov. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 39th minute, Kastus Bogdanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Vitebsk's goal looked a bit too open when Mihas Lapshukov came free, but Stanislav Panfilov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes, Egor Trofimov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brest and the Vitebsk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Brest! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihas Lapshukov to strike the kick off in the second half. Stanislav Panfilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kastus Bogdanov in the 54th minute of play. Mikita Balkovsky hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Brest's Pakhom Atrahovich tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Vitebsk's Radamir Laguta got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Kastus Bogdanov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vitebsk's Stanislav Panfilov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Mikita Balkovsky was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vitebsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brest the free kick. After a rather tough play, Vitebsk's Mikita Balkovsky got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Vitebsk's Stanislav Panfilov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georgij Talaiko in the 66th minute of play. Trafim Kavalionok made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miron Dashko in the 68th minute. Igor Tankovich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Pakhom Atrahovich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kastus Bogdanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Igor Tankovich took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Trafim Kavalionok to make any attempt to save it. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
