In the 4th match minute, Postavi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nazar Yakovlev to maneuver through the defense. Andrey Nikitenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Astap Mironov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Ermakovich in the 12th minute of play forced Utenos FC's goalkeeper Astap Mironov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Astap Mironov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Ermakovich in the 16th minute of play. If Andrey Nikitenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astap Mironov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Ermakovich, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 24 played minutes Postavi got a freekick which was hit by Maksim Evtushenko. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kazimir Rachkevich got free with Astap Mironov in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ruslan Barodin's late challenge caught a Postavi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruslan Barodin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Postavi booed when Utenos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruslan Barodin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrey Nikitenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Ermakovich in the 31st minute of play forced Utenos FC's goalkeeper Astap Mironov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Utenos FC's zone, Andrey Nikitenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astap Mironov came out of the goal and Andrey Nikitenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astap Mironov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrey Nikitenko in the 37th minute. Astap Mironov was a little too slow when Boris Ermakovich got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ruslan Barodin took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mscislav Rybchyk. Mscislav Rybchyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Marat Repchyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boris Ermakovich made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Vasily Zhukov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Utenos FC and the Postavi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Vasily Zhukov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nazar Yakovlev, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Utenos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Ermakovich came free, but Astap Mironov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 played minutes, Postavi's Leonid Dranchuk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Astap Mironov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Postavi reached it. In the 66th minute Andrey Nikitenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astap Mironov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astap Mironov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Ermakovich in the 68th minute of the match. If Marat Repchyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Ermakovich in the 76th minute of play forced Utenos FC's goalkeeper Astap Mironov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th match minute, Utenos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruslan Barodin to maneuver through the defense. Boris Ermakovich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naum Polyakov hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Patap Andronov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Utenos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
