Aleksey Nizavets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georgij Kastiukevich having to interfere. Georgij Kastiukevich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkady Podrez in the 85th minute of the match. Aleksey Nizavets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Georgij Kastiukevich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gomel had won after a very even match.
