With a couple of smart ball manuevers Platon Nizavets in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georgij Karankevich saved Grodno from getting behind. In the 34th minute Vyacheslav Malashenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apanas Khramczankov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
