The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sidor Rybak kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Grodno's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Gipuzkoa came free, but Igor Reginevich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Szklow's goalkeeper Timur Meleshko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Igor Reginevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Gipuzkoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Erofey Hardzevich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timur Meleshko having to interfere. Erofey Hardzevich took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timur Meleshko. Timur Meleshko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erofey Hardzevich to make the kick off. After 56 minutes of play Szklow's Sidor Rybak was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The audience was convinced that Aristides Gipuzkoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Reginevich was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Timur Meleshko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergey Markov in the 68th minute. Igor Reginevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihas Valuj, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristides Gipuzkoa in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Reginevich saved Grodno from getting behind. In the 79thth minute of the game Aristides Gipuzkoa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grodno's Igor Reginevich was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matvey Palevszyk's late challenge caught a Szklow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matvey Palevszyk helped the player get up and apologised. Matvey Palevszyk hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute Aristides Gipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Reginevich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grodno fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Mihas Valuj shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Igor Reginevich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Gipuzkoa in the 92nd minute of the match. Igor Reginevich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergey Andreev in the 94th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Aristides Gipuzkoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szklow's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Gipuzkoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Reginevich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihas Valuj in the 99th minute of play forced Grodno's goalkeeper Igor Reginevich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grodno had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
