Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 125) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erofey Hardzevich started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Tadeuz Galuza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zhlobin's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeuz Galuza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Reginevich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mechyslav Silanov hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Oles Mezin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Igor Reginevich. Grodno's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Erofey Hardzevich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zhlobin's Luís Fabiano Coutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grodno's Igor Reginevich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeuz Galuza in the 21st minute of play. Tadeuz Galuza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Reginevich having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Zhlobin's Mikola Liameshik seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mikola Liameshik the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zhlobin protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mikola Liameshik had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 29th minute, one of Zhlobin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zhlobin. Zhlobin:s Luís Fabiano Coutinho showed great skill when he stopped Vladislav Taranik:s penalty. Paulo Roberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Reginevich having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Grodno's Gleb Sitnikov got a free kick in the 39th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Valentin Ragozin made the kick off in the second half. Sergey Markov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Luís Fabiano Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miron Mihaluk charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miron Mihaluk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miron Mihaluk hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Valentin Ragozin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Oles Mezin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Reginevich. Grodno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oles Mezin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Grodno's Vladislav Taranik got a free kick in the 64th minute. Igor Reginevich came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Zhlobin's Valentin Ragozin. But to his dismay, Valentin Ragozin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Nester Yarik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zhlobin's Paulo Roberto got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Zhlobin booed when Grodno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gleb Sitnikov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grodno's zone, Oles Mezin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Reginevich came out of the goal and Oles Mezin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Zhlobin booed when Grodno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
