Timur Meleshko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaffar Altınkaya in the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Kuban booed when Szklow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidor Rybak didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Szklow getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Apanas Orekhov hit a great ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szklow's goalkeeper Timur Meleshko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Vasily Romanov fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szklow's protests and gave Vasily Romanov a yellow card for diving instead. Vasily Romanov hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Kadar Mazid left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kuban fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Lubamir Yaskovich kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Gaffar Altınkaya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timur Meleshko. Szklow's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaffar Altınkaya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Mihas Valuj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Anton Gavrosh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Szklow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergey Andreev to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Gaffar Altınkaya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timur Meleshko was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Kadar Mazid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Kuban were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aristides Gipuzkoa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihas Valuj in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Gavrosh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kadar Mazid came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Timur Meleshko could save by the left post. In the 55th match minute, Szklow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patap Malafeev to maneuver through the defense. Timur Meleshko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaffar Altınkaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 56th minute, Gaffar Altınkaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 played minutes Szklow got a freekick which was hit by Sidor Rybak. After 58 played minutes, Kuban's Evandro Toledo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Timur Meleshko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kuban reached it. With his leg Timur Meleshko managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Kuban's Kadar Mazid fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 66th match minute, Szklow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasily Romanov to maneuver through the defense. Kadar Mazids short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Timur Meleshko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kadar Mazid got free with Timur Meleshko in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute of the match Evandro Toledo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timur Meleshko skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristides Gipuzkoa in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Gavrosh saved Kuban from getting behind. If Kadar Mazid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kuban's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
