Mechyslav Milinkevich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuriy Ishyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Спартак Гомель's goal looked a bit too open when Yuriy Ishyk came free, but Mechyslav Milinkevich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AC BELARUS MINSK FC's Timur Chaplinsky got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Mechyslav Milinkevich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuriy Ishyk in the 75th minute of play forced Спартак Гомель's goalkeeper Mechyslav Milinkevich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Timur Chaplinsky made a precise shot to the right of Mechyslav Milinkevich. Спартак Гомель's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. In the 79th minute, Yuriy Ishyk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mechyslav Milinkevich was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. With an all-out effort, Спартак Гомель's Denis Filanenko threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jan Dubkov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Спартак Гомель's Mechyslav Milinkevich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuriy Ishyk in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, AC BELARUS MINSK FC's Yuriy Ishyk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mechyslav Milinkevich made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. After a rather tough play, AC BELARUS MINSK FC's Timur Chaplinsky got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92ndth minute of the game Yuriy Ishyk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Спартак Гомель's Mechyslav Milinkevich was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 93 played minutes Спартак Гомель got a freekick which was hit by Aleksandr Cherkas. Ignat Taranenko kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Mechyslav Milinkevich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuriy Ishyk in the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that AC BELARUS MINSK FC were the better team. AC BELARUS MINSK FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
