Valkan Vatahov hit a great ball. Goran Baynov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyko Paziyski in the 15th minute of the match. Tinko Penkochev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantaley Gatzev having to interfere. Kostadin Mitrov charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Volodya Súrbinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Pantaley Gatzev made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, Urumkioj's goal looked a bit too open when Boyko Paziyski came free, but Goran Baynov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Boyko Paziyski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shipchenski sokol's supporters rose to their feet, but Boyko Paziyski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Goran Baynov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Volodya Súrbinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Pantaley Gatzev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tinko Penkochev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantaley Gatzev having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Vute Plashokov's late challenge caught a Urumkioj's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vute Plashokov helped the player get up and apologised. Tinko Penkochev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pantaley Gatzev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Volodya Súrbinski in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Tinko Penkochev suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Shipchenski sokol:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Urumkioj:s goal. Temelko Dobrilov shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Pantaley Gatzev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volodya Súrbinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 69 minutes, Volodya Súrbinski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Urumkioj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Volodya Súrbinski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tervel Piperov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Urumkioj's Goran Baynov got control of the ball when Boyko Paziyski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boyko Paziyski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Goran Baynov having to make a save.
