The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the game, Toshko Bratoev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 12th match minute, FC Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gergin Zimbilev to maneuver through the defense. Hristo Glavinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yaroslav Pylyaev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Манчестър Юнайтед's Valérien Pouliquen got control of the ball when Ventzislav Radoykov tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Yaroslav Pylyaev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Seagulls's Hristo Glavinov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With 40 minutes on the clock, Milan Dorovski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 39 minutes into the game, one of FC Seagulls:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Yaroslav Pylyaev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velichko Kinchev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valérien Pouliquen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Karol Pietrowiak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yaroslav Pylyaev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC Seagulls's zone, Karol Pietrowiak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hristo Glavinov came out of the goal and Karol Pietrowiak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Манчестър Юнайтед's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
