Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Zdravko Chaushev started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. FC Khodzhinovo's Lyudmil Benchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Pietrowiak in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Vihren Tzvetev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute, one of Манчестър Юнайтед:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Манчестър Юнайтед. Zdravko Chaushev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valérien Pouliquen having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Karol Pietrowiak rounded FC Khodzhinovo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When Zdravko Chaushev fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Khodzhinovo's protests and gave Zdravko Chaushev a yellow card for diving instead. Valérien Pouliquen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zdravko Chaushev, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yaroslav Pylyaev in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lyudmil Benchev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Vihren Tzvetev came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the FC Khodzhinovo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vihren Tzvetev couldn't finish the play. Karol Pietrowiak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karol Pietrowiak was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Toshko Bratoev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Pietrowiak in the 54th minute of play forced FC Khodzhinovo's goalkeeper Lyudmil Benchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Marin Stomonyakov made a precise shot to the right of Lyudmil Benchev. FC Khodzhinovo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Zdravko Chaushev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Valérien Pouliquen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 68th minute, Dancho Tulev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes Манчестър Юнайтед got a freekick which was hit by Stayko Dzhamov. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Pietrowiak in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lyudmil Benchev saved FC Khodzhinovo from getting behind. After 73 played minutes FC Khodzhinovo got a freekick which was hit by Dancho Tulev. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Pietrowiak in the 75th minute of play forced FC Khodzhinovo's goalkeeper Lyudmil Benchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dancho Tulev hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, FC Khodzhinovo's Boris Vakarelski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Boris Vakarelski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Khodzhinovo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Boris Vakarelski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 80th minute, one of FC Khodzhinovo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Khodzhinovo. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Манчестър Юнайтед. Karol Pietrowiak stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lyudmil Benchev. 4-0. 86 minutes into the match, FC Khodzhinovo's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Pietrowiak came free, but Lyudmil Benchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Манчестър Юнайтед were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after FC Khodzhinovo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Venelin Dragunchev took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Venelin Dragunchev got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lyudmil Benchev quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lyudmil Benchev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaroslav Pylyaev in the 89th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Yaroslav Pylyaev put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lyudmil Benchev. Lyudmil Benchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krastyo Glavchev, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
