In the 55th minute of the match Verdikal got a corner. levski's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evgeni Antonov couldn't finish the play. Angel Barzov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Subin Velchov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Angel Barzov fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verdikal's protests and gave Angel Barzov a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Verdikal's Angel Barzov got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded Verdikal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than levski.
