An unexpectedly hard shot by Svetozar Stoychovski in the 17th minute of play forced SUNDERLAND A.F.C's goalkeeper Vergil Kúrchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragolyub Palchev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anastas Kandev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Yovev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Albert Yovev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ilko Chorbov sped through BALKAN BUL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anastas Kandev. After having played for 41 minutes, Albert Yovev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SUNDERLAND A.F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Yovev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ilko Chorbov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dragolyub Palchev kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Albert Yovev struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Anastas Kandev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SUNDERLAND A.F.C. Anastas Kandev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Yovev, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dragolyub Palchev to strike the kick off in the second half. Anastas Kandev was a little too slow when Iliya Solarov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 0-4. Ganyo Bogdantzaliev hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Albert Yovev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SUNDERLAND A.F.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
