Vladko Iliev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Dzhevov in the 5th minute of the match. Fabian Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nesho Glogov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gruyo Ovcharov kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Valkan Vasilevski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabian Hedkvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 17th minute, Gruyo Ovcharov made a precise shot to the right of Vladko Iliev. Listec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Miguel Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladko Iliev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Toni Dzhevov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladko Iliev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 43 minutes into the game, Filip Vladev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Listec the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nesho Glogov in the 47th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Fabian Hedkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nesho Glogov made a kick off. Valkan Vasilevski scored 2-2 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Hedkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
