BALZENA's Genadi Tetevenski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bocho Púrshorov in the 3rd minute of play. Ingars Batarags struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Stoyko Tzarvulkov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BALZENA. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ingars Batarags sped through Mikeloto 1897's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stoyko Tzarvulkov. If Nikola Velev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of BALZENA booed when Mikeloto 1897 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zahari Danchev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes, Botyo Dramov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mikeloto 1897 and the BALZENA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Nikola Velev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stoyko Tzarvulkov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, BALZENA's goal looked a bit too open when Bocho Púrshorov came free, but Genadi Tetevenski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When BALZENA's Ingars Batarags in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingars Batarags in the 46th minute of play forced Mikeloto 1897's goalkeeper Stoyko Tzarvulkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half BALZENA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingars Batarags to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, BALZENA's goal looked a bit too open when Bone Morov came free, but Genadi Tetevenski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Nikola Velev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Stoyko Tzarvulkov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th minute, BALZENA's Dragan Kolaksúzov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dragan Kolaksúzov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of BALZENA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dragan Kolaksúzov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 74 minutes into the game, BALZENA's Nikola Velev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stoyko Tzarvulkov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Chakúrov Trúnka took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Stoyko Tzarvulkov to make any attempt to save it. 83 minutes into the match, Nikola Velev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stoyko Tzarvulkov. Mikeloto 1897's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikola Velev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. After 87 minutes, Nikola Velev made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. Mikeloto 1897's Stoyko Tzarvulkov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Arhangel Savelev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikola Velev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stoyko Tzarvulkov having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mikeloto 1897's zone, Nikola Velev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stoyko Tzarvulkov came out of the goal and Nikola Velev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
