After having played for 3 minutes, Damyan Hodzhev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stanets's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damyan Hodzhev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Damyan Hodzhev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antoine Nabil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. If Manol Alexiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Robustiano Araoz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rade Jakovlevski was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. FC Volov Shumen's Robustiano Araoz got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Stanets getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Manol Alexiev hit a great ball. If Robustiano Araoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robustiano Araoz made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Araoz got free with Rade Jakovlevski in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute Manol Alexiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Nabil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Stanets getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Manol Alexiev hit a great ball. Robustiano Araoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Rade Jakovlevski made a huge save. Damyan Hodzhev struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Antoine Nabil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stanets. FC Volov Shumen made a substitution. Nano Gaydardzhiev replaced Tencho Isaev. Stanets's Tzvetelin Voynikov was substituted for Manol Alexiev. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Svetozar Bozadzhiev during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Volov Shumen's Svetozar Bozadzhiev got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 69 played minutes FC Volov Shumen got a freekick which was hit by Pawel Czeszejko. Robustiano Araoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Rade Jakovlevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rade Jakovlevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Araoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Robustiano Araoz lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Rade Jakovlevski. Robustiano Araoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Rade Jakovlevski made a huge save. If Robustiano Araoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Robustiano Araoz took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Rade Jakovlevski to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded FC Volov Shumen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stanets.
