Bozhil Geshkov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delyan Boborachki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivelin Sholev in the 6th minute of play forced FC Bodzharu's goalkeeper Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adalbert Ponev in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski saved FC Bodzharu from getting behind. In the 15thth minute of the game Delyan Boborachki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSKA Asenovgrad's Bozhil Geshkov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalbert Ponev in the 17th minute of play. CSKA Asenovgrad's Tzanyo Beev suffered a sprained foot after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Velin Stiliyanov's late challenge caught a CSKA Asenovgrad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Velin Stiliyanov helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Bodzharu's Velin Stiliyanov got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Ivelin Sholev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dragomir Trendafilov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Bodzharu booed when CSKA Asenovgrad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalbert Ponev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivelin Sholev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dragomir Trendafilov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivelin Sholev might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivelin Sholev ran back to his position shaking his head. Bozhil Geshkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delyan Boborachki, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adalbert Ponev during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, CSKA Asenovgrad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalbert Ponev to maneuver through the defense. Delyan Boborachki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bozhil Geshkov having to make a save. Ivelin Sholev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalbert Ponev in the 46th minute of play forced FC Bodzharu's goalkeeper Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delyan Boborachki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivelin Sholev got free with Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivelin Sholev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tihomir Kalaydzhiyski having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Ivelin Sholev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSKA Asenovgrad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivelin Sholev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, FC Bodzharu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivelin Sholev fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Zahari Bitzov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CSKA Asenovgrad's Adalbert Ponev got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Adalbert Ponev off the ground. After 72 played minutes CSKA Asenovgrad got a freekick which was hit by Adalbert Ponev. The referee showed Stanimir Samokovski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Bodzharu booed when CSKA Asenovgrad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanimir Samokovski didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Bodzharu were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after CSKA Asenovgrad's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iliya Matakiev took the corner. The corner ended in Iliya Matakiev almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CSKA Asenovgrad's Bozhil Geshkov did a great save. In the 92nd match minute, CSKA Asenovgrad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeri Panicherski to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the CSKA Asenovgrad players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Bodzharu.
