Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adalbert Ponev kicked off to start the match. When Valeri Panicherski fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSKA Asenovgrad's protests and gave Valeri Panicherski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, CSKA Asenovgrad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeri Panicherski to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Gruevo's zone, Adalbert Ponev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivaylo Kyulafliev came out of the goal and Adalbert Ponev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivelin Sholev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CSKA Asenovgrad's Stanimir Samokovski suffered a concussion after 7 minutes and had to leave the field. After 7 minutes, Vanyo Tunev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Gruevo and the CSKA Asenovgrad players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vanyo Tunev kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Ivelin Sholev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivelin Sholev was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. CSKA Asenovgrad's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ivelin Sholev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bozhil Geshkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peycho Malinchev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, FC Gruevo's goal looked a bit too open when Ivelin Sholev came free, but Ivaylo Kyulafliev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes CSKA Asenovgrad got a freekick which was hit by Malin Dafov. Ivelin Sholev's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Ivaylo Kyulafliev skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Adalbert Ponev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stayko Abrashkov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Stayko Abrashkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Adalbert Ponev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivaylo Kyulafliev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivelin Sholev in the 62nd minute of play. FC Gruevo's Peycho Malinchev was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Stayko Abrashkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bozhil Geshkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peycho Malinchev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bozhil Geshkov having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stayko Abrashkov in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bozhil Geshkov saved CSKA Asenovgrad from getting behind. Bozhil Geshkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stayko Abrashkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Peycho Malinchev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The CSKA Asenovgrad supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Gruevo's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Gruevo.
