After 4 played minutes CSKA SOFIA got a freekick which was hit by Kaloyan Starchev. Vute Palagachev hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, CSKA SOFIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostadin Fúrtunkov to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Brunko Gostev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georgi Kertin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Tzocho Bandzhov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yanaki Vetzkov was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Antim Gopov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yanaki Vetzkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petar Simonov in the 31st minute of play. Brunko Gostev took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georgi Kertin. Georgi Kertin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a little luck, FC kapiata's Yanaki Vetzkov got control of the ball when Antim Gopov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Tzocho Bandzhov made the kick off in the second half. Vute Palagachev charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vute Palagachev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC kapiata getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Vute Palagachev hit a great ball. Marko Koev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georgi Kertin having to interfere. The supporters of FC kapiata booed when CSKA SOFIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asen Dabizhev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brunko Gostev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC kapiata's Stavri Porodinski shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Georgi Kertin but with some difficulty. After having played for 68 minutes, Petar Simonov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSKA SOFIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petar Simonov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th match minute, FC kapiata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marko Koev to maneuver through the defense. If Brunko Gostev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in CSKA SOFIA's zone, Brunko Gostev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgi Kertin came out of the goal and Brunko Gostev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute, Brunko Gostev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marko Koev scored 0-3 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georgi Kertin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Georgi Kertin made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Brunko Gostev sent off a good shot on target. Kaloyan Starchev kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Chants of FC kapiata echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as CSKA SOFIA had held the ball for most of the match.
