The supporters of Liverpool booed when Michalzi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grisha Vapirev didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Toni Barokov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liverpool's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Boyko Ahtardzhiev 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When Denko Trenchev fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Michalzi's protests and gave Denko Trenchev a yellow card for diving instead. Vitan Voynishki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yanislav Minchev in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ancho Miloshev to strike the kick off in the second half. Boyko Ahtardzhiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trayko Chorbadzhiyski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Barokov, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Vitan Voynishki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yanislav Minchev in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Michalzi fully deserved thier win.
