But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prodan Popgeorgiev couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute Valko Pishmanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yasen Lozev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yasen Lozev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valko Pishmanov in the 49th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Pencho Pemov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuncho Babadzhanov having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Gevechanov in the 59th minute of play forced CSKA Stokite's goalkeeper Kuncho Babadzhanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes of play, CSKA Stokite's Prodan Popgeorgiev made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yasen Lozev was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, CSKA Stokite's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pencho Pemov fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 88 minutes, Valko Pishmanov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSKA Stokite's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valko Pishmanov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, CSKA Stokite's Prodan Popgeorgiev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yasen Lozev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yasen Lozev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prodan Popgeorgiev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Under 21 Academy's Yuri Gevechanov got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CSKA Stokite had won after a very even match.
